Andy Williams has Halloween in his heart year-round.
Which is why Monster Bash Blog and A-Will are teaming up for this Christmas/Halloween mashup.
What? You don't believe me?
The proof?
Here's your proOoOoOOoOof:
It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you
"Be of good cheer"
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap- happiest season of all
There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories
of Christmases long, long ago
It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories (2nd time)
And tales of the glories
of Christmases long, long ago
It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time of the year

This is a really sensitive issue in certain circles. One that deserves a blog unto itself but here's my humble take.
I believe Mr. Williams is referring to early Christmas traditions.
If not, I believe he may be referring to Mr. Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, in which Scrooge encounters several ghosts.
I won't eliminate the possibility that he might be referring to Halloween, which is a distinct possiblity given the ambiguous title of the song.
Andy Williams may have more of an inclusive attitude about what "the most wonderful time of the year" is. The "time" he is alluding to might be the entire fall/winter, or specifically, Oct.-Dec.
Although, I still maintain my original stance on the subject.
As always, Jim, I appreciate your comments and do value your opinions...
but obviously, the MOST wonderful time of the year is Halloween, so I think it's a non-issue what he's talking about.
Warm wishes,
Monster Bash Blog
